Funeral Home Staff

Kim Albinana

Kimberly Albinana has been with Evergreen Memorial Gardens as a licensed funeral director and embalmer since January of 2007. She graduated from Mount Hood Community College in 1999. 

She is married, and the proud mother of two boys, both young adults now. In free time enjoy travel, scrap-booking, reading and spending time with kids, family and friends.



Scott Bowen

Scott has been with Evergreen Memorial Gardens since September 2007.  He is a licensed funeral director and embalmer.  Scott is a 1995 graduate of Mt. Hood Community College with a degree in Funeral Service Education.  He started his career in Funeral serice in 1991 and has worked in many communities around the state of Washington, Priest River, ID and Ketchikan, AK.  

Scott is a member of the Masonic Lodge and Scottish Rite.  He has two daughters, Olivia and Madison, and fiance Tracey.  Scott enjoys hunting fishing, camping, hiking and the great outdoors.  In the summer of 2009 he and his fiance, Tracey, climbed to the summit of Mt. St. Helens!  He enjoys service the families of Vancouver and Clark County at a difficult time. 



Martha Cansler

Martha, a native of North Carolina, has been working in funeral service in the northwest for about 8 years; serving as a licensed funeral director/embalmer at EMG since 2007. This is a second career for Martha. She spent 24 years working in graphic animation design in New York City and Portland. She continues her creative endeavors in sculpture and painting work. She and her husband are avid hikers and bird watchers.



Megan Carlson

Megan has been with Evergreen Memorial Gardens since December 2005. She graduated from La Salle High School in Milwaukie, Oregon in 2000. After graduating from the University of Washington in 2005 she traveled throughout Europe for 2 ½ months on a solo backpacking adventure! 

Megan has been a Funeral Director since 2007 and has been our Certified Crematory Operator since the crematory opened in August of 2008. She served as the Secretary/Treasurer for the Southwest Washington district of Washington State Funeral Directors Association.  In her free time Megan enjoys relaxing, and spending time with family and friends.



Chris Donahoue

Christopher joined the Evergreen Memorial Gardens family in February 2007 and currently serves as a fully licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer.  Christopher graducated from Mt. Hood Community College with an Associates Degree in Funeral Service in July 2007.  He also serves as the primary Funeral Director at our sister funeral home Evergreen Staples Funeral HOme.  

Christopher moved into the area in August 2002 with his wife and six children shortly after leaving the United States Navy. 



Al Hansen
Al has been a Funeral Director since 1967. He has been with Evergreen Memorial Gardens since 1998. He graduated from the Mt. Hood Community College Funeral Science program in 1969.

Al enjoys skiing, barbershop singing and Z car rallies.





Becky Pfeifer

Becky has been with Evergreen Memorial Gardens as a Funeral Home Administrative Assistant since October of 2006.  Becky attended Ridgefield High School during which she spent 8 weeks in Japan as an exchange student.

Becky loves spending time with her husband and four wonderful children, traveling, fishing, clamming, water skiing, snow skiing, camping and home remodeling.



Ruth Pfeiffer
Ruth as been an office assistant with Evergreen Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel since 1999. She attended High School in Richmond, Virginia. Ruth attended Blue Mountain Community College in Pendleton, Oregon, Clark College in Vancouver, Washington and the Real Estate School of Oregon.

Ruth has served several terms on the Board of the American Red Cross, the Board of Open House Ministries, a homeless shelter in Vancouver, and was active in her Church Youth Group and Choir.

Ruth enjoys gardening, sports, biking, deep sea diving, camping, water skiing, traveling, but most of all her family!



Michael A. Salazar
Michael is a graduate of Mt. Hood Community College in 2000. He holds licenses in both Washington and Oregon. Michael has been with Evergreen Memorial Gardens since March of 2006.

Michael enjoys sporting events, golfing, fishing and spending time with wife, Karen, and their six children.



Daniel Serres

Dan graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1983 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mortuary Science.  He is a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer in the States of Washington and Oregon.  He is also a CANA certified crematory operator.  Prior to coming to Evergreen Memorial Gardens in 2008, he practiced the profession in Minnesota, Nebraska, Colorado and Oregon. 

Dan has been married since 1982 and has two grown childen away in college.  He enjoys backpacking and fishing.  He is also a member of the Knights of Columbus.



Stacy VanWagoner

Stacy R. VanWagoner has been with Evergreen Memorial Gardens since 2008. She is a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer Intern, with a degree in Funeral Service Education from Mt. Hood Community College. It is her honor to have the opportunity to serve families in need. 

Stacy is a proud mother and wife; she and her family spend as much time as they can backpacking in the Northwest wilderness. Outside work, Stacy enjoys poetry, music and theatre.



Cord Wilkey 

Cord attended the University of Utah, Idaho State University and Mt. Hood Community College. Before starting in Funeral Service in 2003, he was a nurse. Cord joined Evergreen Memorial Gardens is 2009 and is a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer in Oregon, Washington.  He has been a CANA certified crematory operator. 

Cord Enjoys many outdoor activities year round and foreign travel.



Ellen  Higgins

Ellen has been with Evergreen Memorial Gardens since September 2009. She graduated from Fort Vancouver High School and Warner Pacific College. She plans on attending Mount Hood Community College to become a licensed funeral service director. 

Ellen lives with her two young sons in the Vancouver area. In her free time she enjoys bird watching, fishing, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
